Owners of Ventura Watches have a support center.

For the owner of a valuable timepiece, a well functioning after sale service is of utmost importance.

With the disappearance of the brand from the market, the collectors value of the Ventura watches is steadily increasing.
The continued existence of the international Repair- and Service Center of Preciluxe Europe GmbH (formerly Ventura Europe) in Wurzburg, Germany is therefore good news to Ventura-owners all over the world.
Preciluxe's own master watchmaker Ralf Goldammer is most likely the only remaining professional with a complete and competent knowledge of all Ventura timepieces and versions. He and his team help collectors from all over the world to keep their precious watches in their original running condition. With a well-assorted inventory of factory-fresh spare parts, Preciluxe is usually able to bring a damaged Ventura watch
back to its former beauty. Since recently, all original straps and bands are again available.

Preciluxe has furthermore gathered all remaining factory-new Ventura timepieces on the market; these watches are sold at a special price and come with an international, 2-year factory warranty. (See an updated listing on this site)
The desk of Sophie Mentzel, managing director of Preciluxe, has become a worldwide intelligence center for all matters Ventura.

    Hello Pierre,

I happen to own 6 Ventura watches. I completely agree that Ventura needs to exist.

Please let me know in any way that I can help because it wouldn´t be fair that such a great spirit in the watch world disappears.

I happen to be partners in a well renowned branding, design and web consulting company and I would be willing to help in any way I can.

It was Ventura's unique vision, which actually turned me into a serious watch collector. I'm now fortunate to have recently amassed a nice collection of Ventura pieces which I acquired from your best authorized dealers. I'll be especially proud to wear and pass on these modern works of art as among my crown horological jewels. Thanks for the inspiration and for creating timepieces that allow the male species to wear something ultra stylish and modern, yet very masculine and classical as well.

    My best wishes,

There was no other company like ventura, that occupied that market space which now lies vacant. I own 2 venturas, and would own more if I could.

Unlike most of the ventura supporters on the watch enthusiast forums, I enjoyed and encouraged ventura's offering of high-quality quartz watches, particularly the v-tronic analog dial models. It took a lot of courage to offer a high-end quartz watch without justifying it with a mechanical movement.

Please consider reentering the market, and thank you for an amazing product.

Are there any explanations on why the company got into trouble? I feel so abandonned without an knowing the end of the story...

I was very sorry to see that the Ventura brand has gone away. I was afraid of this when the website went down. In hindsight, you can see the events that lead to this - namely the conversion from architectural mechanical timepieces to a more streamlined but plain-looking digital version. There are those that would say the change was needed. I say that it was this single act that ultimately was Ventura's undoing. You can blame the new ownership for that.

Where can we buy new "old stock" models that remained in Ventura's inventory?

Ventura was awesome. The v-tec kappa, zeta and the vtech mgs from the sigma colection are works of art. Best of luck with Ventura renassaince and then when that happens, you ought to make the first two above mentioned models, 'automatic'. keep them the same but automatic. Trust me, then you will be selling watches like a mother f. I mean, like if there's no tomorrow. All the best, GAbriel.

I too wonder if there are any "clearance" watches that might be for sale. I wrote about the buffalo strap above and have been able to secure one, but sadly I dropped my v-matic and now two hour markers have fallen off. I have yet to inquire about getting it fixed (nor do i know where to do that) but think it might be cheaper/easier to find another v-matic on clearance. I remember for a week or so, ventura themselves had the v-matic with titanium bracelet on clearance for ~$500. My how I wish I purchased one while I had the chance!

      Andy, Folks:

I often get such questions regarding the possibility of buying some stock watches at low prices.

Unfortunately, Ventura never carried more than a couple of days supplies as it was a policy to produce and deliver watches «just-in-time» to ensure really «fresh» watches. Therefore, and to my best of knowledge, there is practically no stock on the market. Currently, the BaselWorld watch fair is taking place and I met a number of former distributors; they all told me that they have not a single piece on stock.

As for mechanical models, you all know that Ventura has already stopped producing these about 3 years ago. While there are still some cases and bracelets on stock, there are no more movements and even if SWI wanted to use the material, the current delivery time for such movements is up to 2 years.

I personally think that the Ventura watches are going to pick up value as collector items very steeply and that those lucky owners are well advised to look after their watch with care.

        Hi Pierre,

I am the worlds greatest Ventura Watch fan and have collected 8 of the watches over the past 10 years. In fact, I devoted myself to the brand about 7 years ago and swore I would only own Ventura Watches, which in fact is still the case. Was very sad to hear of Hannes's Wettstein's death. I will cherish each of my pieces for all my living days and will never ever own another brand. Two of them are in repair with Jacques right now. I only hope that he has enough parts (particularly the crown which breaks on V-matic about once a year, and small leather wristband which needs to be replaced about every 6 months on my wifes v-matic) to last for years to come. Wishing everyone the best.

    Pierre --

I, too, must mention that my Ventura was the first "nice", mechanical watch I ever purchased. I followed that with another, one of the first digitals, and one of the ladies' small watches -- the ones that subsequently went on special -- for my wife.

You were very kind to reply to an email I sent way back when I originally purchased my first watch, in fact, and I was very sad to read of Ventura's demise.

But your accomplishments will always remain, and those of us who treasure your products salute you for them. Thank you for making our lives a bit more timely -- in a stylish way.

Best of luck in whatever future ventures you decide to take on.

My first knowledge of Ventura watches was when I kept receiving phone calls asking for Ventura watches, since I happen to share my surname Ventura with the brand's name in the phonebook. So I eventually got a "Ventura" myself.
It was heartbreaking news to hear of the ending of the firm and wonder why is often the case that avantgarde design and art, have often to perish in one form or another to become classics. But these watches are not dead and will impregnate contemporary design and last for years to come. So now I am the proud owner of 2 Ventura's: a Sparc, which I will pass on to my son, a Miss V for my wife and just got a kappa for myself. Looking forward too to the next superlative designs...
